10 years after the first launch of the Master's programme in Development Management, the 2010 intake of the MA in Development Management Programme in Bochum and the 9th Development Management Summer School has been opened on Monday, 13 September 2010.

The DRD offers DAAD merit scholarships for excellent students on the Master's (Master in Development Studies and Master in Public Administration) and PhD level. The SA-GER CDRCJ welcomes a new intake of MA DM students from around the world

Dr. Gabriele Baecker, Executive Director of the IEE, officially opened the new Master of Arts in Development Management (MA DM) intake in Cape Town on May 3, 2010. The Master of Arts in Development Management intake consists of nineteen students from twelve countries around the world. Four students of the current intake receive a scholarship from the South African-German Centre for Development Research and Criminal Justice.
